In these Terms, “we,” “us” and “our” mean Laughter Connects Ltd trading as Authentically Funny Speeches. “You” means the person using our website or purchasing from us.
2. These Terms
These Terms apply when you:

use our website;
-
purchase a Wedding Speech Template;
-
purchase a Wedding Speech Audit;
-
purchase a One-to-One Wedding Speech Editing Session; or
-
purchase our I Write It For You: Premium Wedding Speech Writing service.
By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
3. Our products and services
Wedding Speech Templates
Wedding Speech Templates are instant-access digital products. They normally include an editable Microsoft Word document and supporting PDF materials.
Templates are provided for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may edit and adapt your purchased template for your speech.
You may not:
-
resell, redistribute or commercially exploit a template or its supporting materials;
-
share the files publicly or make them available for download by others;
-
claim the original template or supporting materials as your own product; or
-
use them to provide a paid speechwriting or editing service to someone else.
Your purchase covers the version supplied to you at the time of purchase.
Wedding Speech Audit
The Wedding Speech Audit consists of personalised recorded video feedback on the speech you provide.
Feedback is normally delivered within 24 business hours after we receive the speech and any information reasonably required to complete the Audit.
If an unexpected delay arises, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
One-to-One Wedding Speech Editing Session
The One-to-One Wedding Speech Editing Session consists of a live 60-minute Zoom session.
After purchase, you will receive an email containing instructions and a link to book the session through Calendly.
The service also includes one complimentary email review of one later draft. We may choose to provide additional brief support at our discretion.
A Zoom session may sometimes be recorded for your reference where appropriate, but a recording is not a guaranteed part of the service. The live session itself is the service being purchased.
I Write It For You: Premium Wedding Speech Writing
This is a personalised, collaborative speechwriting service.
Before work begins, we will speak with you about the speech and the process. You will then complete a questionnaire containing the information needed to write your speech.
The estimated turnaround time is normally four to six weeks from the date we receive your completed questionnaire, not from the date of purchase.
We cannot begin writing until the completed questionnaire has been returned. The timetable may need to move if requested information or feedback is delayed.
The service includes revisions until the wedding date. The process is collaborative, with the shared aim of creating the best possible speech for the occasion: one that feels personal, brings people together and can be enjoyed by the couple and their guests.
The final speech is created for your personal use. You may deliver it, edit it, share it privately or post a recording of yourself delivering it.
4. Your role in the process
Our personalised services depend on the information you provide.
You agree to:
-
provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
-
respond reasonably promptly where information or feedback is needed;
-
tell us about any firm wedding date or other important deadline;
-
review drafts and feedback carefully; and
-
make the final decision about what you are comfortable saying publicly.
You may provide personal stories and information about other people. Please use reasonable care when sharing particularly private or sensitive information.
The speechwriting and editing process is collaborative. We may suggest changing, softening or leaving out material where doing so would help the speech work better for the occasion and its audience.
5. Prices and payment
All products and services must be paid for in full at the time of purchase.
Prices may be displayed and charged through Shopify in the currency available for your location, including pounds sterling, US dollars, Canadian dollars or Australian dollars.
The total shown at checkout is the amount payable.
Payments are processed through Shopify and the payment providers displayed at checkout. We do not directly receive or store your full payment-card details.
6. Digital delivery
Wedding Speech Templates are made available electronically shortly after payment has been successfully completed.
You are responsible for:
-
providing a correct email address;
-
checking spam or junk folders where necessary;
-
downloading and safely storing your files; and
-
having software capable of opening Microsoft Word documents and PDF files.

7. Booking, rescheduling and missed sessions
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a One-to-One Wedding Speech Editing Session.
We understand that plans change and will make every reasonable effort to accommodate you. Where less than 24 hours’ notice is provided or a session is missed, any rescheduling is at our discretion.
8. Use period
Personalised services should normally be booked, submitted or commenced within 12 months of purchase.
We may extend or vary this period at our discretion, particularly where wedding plans or other circumstances have changed.
Revisions included with Premium Wedding Speech Writing end on the wedding date.
9. Cancellations and refunds
Our full Refund and Cancellation Policy forms part of these Terms.
In summary:
-
Wedding Speech Templates are generally non-refundable once access has been provided, except where required by law or where there is a genuine technical or product problem.

Wedding Speech Audits and One-to-One Wedding Speech Editing Sessions are generally non-refundable after purchase, subject to applicable consumer rights.

Premium Wedding Speech Writing may be cancelled for a refund before we begin the work. Once work has begun, the fee is non-refundable, subject to applicable consumer rights.
These provisions do not affect your statutory rights.
10. Consumer cancellation rights
Depending on where you live, the law may give you a limited period in which to cancel an online purchase.
For instant-access digital content, you may be asked to consent to receiving the content immediately and to acknowledge that your statutory cancellation right will end once access or downloading begins.
For services, you may ask us to begin providing the service during a statutory cancellation period. Where legally applicable:

you may be responsible for the reasonable value of work already performed if you subsequently cancel; and
-
your cancellation right may end once the service has been fully performed, where you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged this consequence.
Nothing in these Terms removes rights that applicable consumer law gives you.
11. Intellectual property
The website and its general content, branding, copy, Wedding Speech Templates, supporting materials and business tools belong to us or are used by us with permission.
Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of our underlying intellectual property to you.
The personal-use rights given to you for purchased templates and completed custom speeches are explained in section 3.
You retain ownership of the original personal information, stories and material you provide to us.
12. Confidentiality
We treat client questionnaires, drafts, correspondence, recordings and personal stories as confidential.
We will not publicly share your personalised material, name, image or speech excerpt unless:

you have made it public yourself;
-
you have given us permission; or
-
disclosure is required by law.
Reviews and testimonials that you submit publicly through Yotpo or another public review service may be displayed on our website or used in our marketing.
13. Website availability
We try to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access at all times.
We may update, change, suspend or remove website content where reasonably necessary.
We are not responsible for interruptions caused by Shopify, internet providers, payment processors or other systems outside our reasonable control.
14. Acceptable use
You must not:

misuse or attempt to interfere with the website;

introduce malware or harmful code;
-
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems;

use the website or its content unlawfully;

copy or scrape substantial parts of the website; or
-
use our products to misrepresent your identity or engage in unlawful conduct.
15. Third-party services and links
Our website uses services provided by third parties, including Shopify and payment providers.
The website may also contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of websites we do not control.
16. Our responsibility to you
We will provide our products and services with reasonable care and skill.
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for:

loss that was not reasonably foreseeable;

loss caused by inaccurate, incomplete or delayed information supplied by you;

business or commercial losses arising from a purchase made for personal use; or
-
delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Our products and services are supplied for personal rather than commercial use.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
17. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If such circumstances materially affect a personalised service, we will contact you and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally.
The Terms applying to your purchase will normally be the version in effect when your order was placed, unless a change is required by law or you agree to it.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you live elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections in the country or state where you live.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, but this does not prevent you from bringing a claim in another court where applicable consumer law gives you that right.
